Report on April's WORTH journey back to Cameroon

On April 12 a team of four of us returned to Cameroon. During our eight day stay much was accomplished. We increased our patient population so that we are now at sixteen patients. They are all stable and doing well. We are pleased to announce that analysis of our urea kinetic modelling yields statistically significant data demonstrating quality of dialysis on parity with that seen in the U.S.

We have also noted that with very careful handling of patient dry weight none of our original dialysis patients require antihypertensive medication anymore. The new patients, for now, do require antihypertensives, but the blood pressure readings are already showing improvement with continuing optimization of their fluid balance.

Our head nurse in our Yaounde, Cameroon dialysis unit has a video here to speak to you as does one of our patients.
